Does anybody know if there is a possible way of removing the face recognition from this camera. I bought it to take better quality pictures of my baby daughter but the orange light is blinding her as its way too strong for even my eyes.

Many thanks.

I think the orange light is not the face detection but the light to help focusing. See if there is an option on the camera to remove this feature. The camera may "search" for focusing more, but the orange light will be gone.

Does this light turn on when there is bright light? I'll bet it is only on when it's dark. Maybe electrical tape over the light... :)
