The SVP DC 12DX delivers quality, up to 12MP interpolated resolution images with a High End "One of the Best In The World" Omnivision CMOS Image Sensor, and the ability to produce images that are suitable for printing at sizes larger than 8x10 inches. Record Full Featured Color Videos and share them with friends and family. The Oversized 2.4" Full Color TFT LCD monitor allows you to see the images and examine them in detail before and after you take a photo or video. An autoflash sensor automatically detects lighting conditions and determines whether the flash should be used or not. The internal 32 MB of memory allows for storage of images without the use of an external card, however the DC 12DX is expandable using a SD Secure Digital up to 16GB with the built in memory card slot. (most cameras only support up to 2GB SD). Download the images to your computer using the included USB cable, enhance, and retouch them with the included easy to use editing software thats included, or any other image editing software.

While I was a bit frustrated for a few hours with this camera, it turned out it was indeed the operator...me. It is more complicated than I am used to, but all I had to do was take the time to read the instructions and figure it out. It came with a free 2gb memory card, which enables me to take and store more pictures than I can imagine taking. And, it came with the batteries I needed to get started, which was a plus. I am charging batteries as I type this, and I DO highly recommend the rechargeables. All digital cameras use a lot of battery power. The sound is beautiful. The video is incredible. This is a fantastic little camera. It's lightweight, and takes AMAZING pictures. It also has 8x zoom, which is twice as much as comparably priced digital cameras. The display is huge, and allows easy viewing. It has so many features for the price, I am truly amazed. Once I figured out how to use it, I am sold on this camera and company, and will definately consider them for future purchases. Although it does not say that it is Vista capable (it only specifies that it is up to XP capable), it actually works just fine with my system. I was surprised when I tried it, and it loaded on the first try. While I have XP backup, I am glad to be able to use this on my main computer. Thank you, Silicon Valley Products (SVP), for a really nice digital camera for a really affordable price.
PS: The instruction book is actually written in English...ONLY English, which makes me very happy indeed!

I was excited to get this camera...but I should of listened. The size was what I wanted easy to carry in a tote..but the quality of pictures terrible I would not recommend this for a night out.

I thought by saving a hundred on a 12MG camera would be more than amazing, right!? Wrong! This camera has a few functions like black&white, sepia, whatever. During the day this camera is ok, as long as your not moving or in need of flash for whatever reason. At night O.M.G! this camera is THE worst. First off you have to set you camera to flash/auto flash when you turn this thing on. Then you must wait for the flash to charge. Once its charged and ready you and the object your taking a picture of needs to be completely still. Any movement will turn out a blur. On average 3 photos out of 10 will turn out ok not to mention the contrast varies so you constantly need to change the E.V. I would rather use my 2MG camera phone.
