Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Going digital should not mean compromising image quality. The Toshiba PDR-3320, with its 3.2-million pixel CCD, precise auto focus and all-glass lens system ensures pristine photographs at resolutions up to 2048 x 1538. The result is color reproduction, clarity and sharpness that rivals or surpasses conventional 35mm photos. It stands out from the crowd with the addition of the digital 2X zoom and an optical 3X zoom lens. Along with the smooth zooming between wide angle and telephoto settings at the touch of a button, it helps you push the boundaries of digital creativity.

4 out of 5 stars Good quality, reasonable price   October 7, 2003

While a little on the chunky side, this camera does a really good job. Changing the image size and quality on the fly is very easy, so those shots that you will not need print resolution, you can switch to save space on your smartmedia card. The highest resolution will print out at 6x4 inches, with about 300dpi resolution -- just fine for snapshots. And with each image at the size weighing in at about 1MB, a 32MB card would hold about 32 images. My only beef so far with the camera is that the delay between pushing the shutter button and when the camera takes a picture is rather long, so it often misses some great moments.

3 out of 5 stars Plus and Minus   December 18, 2003

Good:
- Out of the box, this camera is dead easy to start using. From opening the box to taking my first shot it took all of ten minutes.

- Responsive zoom feature.

- Easy to use software (similar to Photoshop, etc.)

- Easy to interface camera and TV for slideshows. All the appropriate plugs are included.

Bad:

- Like many digital cameras, this model eats batteries. However, I think this one goes through them much faster than others I've experienced.

- Short battery life means that its useless to set the date because as soon as you change the batteries you have to re-set the date/time, which isn't easy because:

- The cross pad is not responsive. Its small size makes selecting menus options difficult.

- The manual is obviously written by non-English speakers. The poor syntax makes reading some of the instructions difficult.

- Long lag time between clicking the button and taking the picture.

5 out of 5 stars Easy to use, dependable, affordable.   December 19, 2003

I've owned this camera for more than a year, and use it several times a week. It's easy to use, very dependable (I run it with rechargable AA batteries) and the price, even when I initially bought it, was right. It's even more affordable now. I recommend the Toshiba PDR 3320 as an excellent entry-level camera.

5 out of 5 stars Best digital Camera For the money!   January 2, 2003

I've tried my fair share of digital cameras in my day and i have to say,... this camera brings you 3.2 megapixels and great features.
This camera has 3x optical zoom and 2x digital zoom which will be more than enough for anyone short of a profesional photographer.
The only drawback to this camera is the memory card (8mb on a 3.2 megapixel camera won't get you too many pictures) and the LCD display: I've noticed its always easier to use the viewfinder to take pictures and use the LCD display to review them.
