Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The fun and easy-to-use Toshiba PDR-T10 is the first digital camera to utilize its LCD as an interactive touch-screen menu for operation of camera functions... no buttons, no toggles, it works with a stylus! Plus it's the only digital camera with interchangeable faceplates, so you can change its look to fit your mood - from zebra skin to grasshopper green! On the performance side, the fully automatic PDR-T10 matches its beauty with a smart 2.0 megapixel CCD sensor that captures brilliant color photographs at resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 in universal JPEG format. You'll benefit from the all-glass 4X digital zoom lens with macro for unbelievable close-ups, stunning portraits and landscapes, or just capturing your everyday fun. Plus, with its USB connection, it could not be easier or faster to download your photos to your computer.

4 out of 5 stars Great Little Camera   November 10, 2002

Okay the person who wrote the 1st review does not know what he is talking about. This camera DOES take the Nimh rechargable batteries... and they last MUCH longer then the lithium ones. You CAN purchase a A/C adapter for it also. I guess he didn't even do any reading of the manual or research before leaving the review. The One and Only thing I have had trouble getting use to is the delay between the time you press the button and the time it takes the actual photo... but the quality of the pictures is worth it. The touch screen is very nice and the interchangable face plates is the final push that got my husband to purchase this for my birthday... he knows how much being able to personalize my stuff makes me happy! I am sure there are better cameras out there - but this one is just right for me and it could be for you...

5 out of 5 stars No complaints at all -- Toshiba really did their homework.   January 25, 2003

There is a rechargeable battery kit for this camera that's sold separately. 2MPs in a tiny little camera, no protruding lenses or buttons, the touch screen/viewfinder is very convenient and easy to use, the picture quality is great, and the price is very reasonable. For a casual amateur photographer like myself, it's ideal. I'm very happy with my Toshiba PDR-T10.

5 out of 5 stars I'm in LOVE!   April 11, 2003

Wow, I can't describe how happy I am with this camera! Worth every cent and soooo adorable. I get so many compliments and the touch screen is only one of its many assets.

The battery-eating complaint is a valid one, sad to say. However, toshiba.com does sell a (slightly expensive) adapter which would be good for image transfers or just playing around. They also sell a more affordable set of 4 rechargeable Nimh batteries w/ compact charger. And they market the best case by Case Logic for 6 bucks which is the perfect size for this camera!

Aside from the power problem [which you'll encounter with most feature-packed little geek toys ;)], this camera is a great buy and 2 megapixels at this price is outstanding! I'm very pleased w/ the picture quality and I'm still exploring all of the neat little options. It does come w/ a lithium battery and 8MB memory card to get started but you should definitely consider an upgrade. It also comes with a cute fuzzy camera bag (again, for starters) and a durable wrist strap which has a neat (and unobtrusive) stylus tool atached, so you don't have to worry about losing the stylus or finding a place to stash it!

As for looks, this is *definitely* the best digicam out there. Very stylish, doesn't look cheap/tacky like many you'll find on the market. I did my research before investing, and I would recommend you do as well, but I don't think I could have chosen better. Smaller than you would expect, but packs a great punch!

3 out of 5 stars Worth the price, I guess, but not much more...   May 26, 2003

I bought this camera for my fiance as a pre-vacation ift, and was fairly disappointed. While its size and the fact that it uses SD cards and only 2 AA batteries, can be convenient, this camera ranks barely above that of "nifty toy." I own a 1.3 MP Casio Exilim and a 1.3 MP Sony Cybershot DSC-U10, all of which are comparable in size to this, but my Sony and Casio blows this camera away, despite its supposed "2.0 Megapixel" rating. Sure, the other two costed me more, but the fact that low-light pictures come out grainy and pixelized, even with the flash, renders the Toshiba almost worthless. Also, the strobe takes up to 7 seconds to charge after every pic! Talk about lost photo opportunities! I gave the camera a 3-star rating because of its size and the fact that it takes AA batteries, making it a decent on-the-go camera--as long as you use it in sunlight or another well-lit area.
