Lovely Presentation December 20, 2007 A. Lucas (GA, USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I purchased this as a gift for my mom, but couldn't resist taking a peek inside before wrapping it up. The book is lovely, cover to cover. Chock full of bright pictures and catchy articles to draw you in, but still maintaining clean lines to facilitate a good read - quick or extended, an easy choice with the way the book is divided. That's why I think it's a perfect gift for someone on the go - the book is easy to pick up and put down when time allows, so as not to intimidate the reader who may prefer to take in pages in one sitting, rather than chapters. I recommend it for anyone who likes the show, or needs a variety of positive reading material all bound in one cover!
Beautiful book January 1, 2008 T. Judd (North Carolina) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I Love Oprah and even tried her magazine for a while - but it was too much pressure to read it every month with job, kids, bills, etc. The book is beautiful inside and out - so well organized and filled with the very best articles from the magazine (minus the ads). I can review at my leisure and have a high quality book to adorn my bedside table.
Damaged in Shipping December 31, 2007 Beth James (San Antonio, TX) 3 out of 25 found this review helpful
The box was dented when it arrived; it looked like the box had been thrown off the truck. The book cover was torn and slightly mangled because of the damaage. I did not have time to return the item before Christmas. Unfortunately, my maid threw out the damaged box! Overall, I am pleased with the timely response of Amazon. This damaged item was an exception to the usually superior service. Flo Jameson
O How I Love to Read January 7, 2008 Eleanor 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
O's Guide to Life is a great book. My daughter bought it for me for Christmas because we always watch Oprah, and then find ourselves talking about our favorite shows. This book has a little something for everyone in it. I like that it is a hard cover book. If you leave it out on your coffee table it becomes a topic of conversatin for all who visit. After receiving my book I ordered one for a friend from Amazon.com, and it arrived in great condition and on time. She really liked it. I recommend it to Oprah fans around the globe.
A Worthy "Best Of" April 26, 2008 Smauge (Sydney Aus) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The tiltle of this book is very acurate - it really is a guide to life. Not everyone will enjoy this but if you are an avid watcher of Oprah, or, more appropriately, a regular reader of O Magazine, chances are you're gonna love this. Divided into different sections so it is easier to find what you are looking for, this makes a great read whether you are flipping through the pages or reading cover to cover.
