For being a short book it was very good. This book is a modern day stone creek book. The main characters are Olivia and Tanner. Olivia is brad's sister from the book McKettrick's Way. Olivia is a vet and has a Dr. Doolittle routine. Tanner is a builder and a widower. He has a daughter who wants to come home and stay with him instead of boarding school but he is too scared something will happen to her. His wife was killed overseas and he believes it was targeted at him. The book was a very fast read. Olivia and Tanner fall for each other early on. As each one learns to believe in the miracles and traditions of Christmas. If you are a fan of the McKettrick series you will want to read this book.

LLM does it again; this is one of her better stories. While it is set in the present time, it has romance, family drama and just the right touch of holiday magic.

The story is terrific. One of Linda's greatest lines is in this book....when you read the book, you'll know which line I mean. :) No mystery, nothing to deep, just a great love story especially for this time of year. Couldn't put the book down.

this was my first read by the author and after it i wouldnt go out of my way to pursue another. Not that it was bad bc it wasnt. I did finish it and was entertained but i just found that not that much happened. No real connection ever developed bw the main characters even though they were likeable enough. As for the heroine, really her issue were completely un sussed out until the end so the whole time i was really wondering where they came from. It wasnt bad but certainly not 5 stars in my mind.

Egahh, it's bad. It's fluffy and so cliche that it's actually painful to read. PAINFUL. I've had it for 2 + weeks now and I'm only on page 115 out of 217, dear Lord there is 100 more to read. Oh the horror!
I've only gotten this far out of sheer will to finish, it's become a challenge at this point, it's really that bad. I'm shocked. While I don't expect that much depth to a romance story, this is just pathetic.
Sentences are short and blunt at times. Obvious. If you didn't know better, you would think that this was written by an early/middle teenager, not a author that has a LOT of books to her name.
Fluffy and riddled with nonsense. Characters that are not fleshed out and you develop no real attachment to them.
I think my eyes hurt from rolling them so much.
