Product Description Joyce Meyer is one busy lady. Apart from the normal demands of life, she teaches daily on TV and radio, writes books, holds conferences in dozens of cities every year and ministers around the world...and she runs JoyceMeyerMinistries. So she's had to learn how to make the most of every minute of the day! In 100 Ways to Simplify Your Life, Joyce shares the most effective secrets she's learned over the years for making the most of each minute of the day. In less than two pages per entry, Joyce gives us eminently 'doable' tips that are clearcut and ...well, SIMPLE. But they can change your whole outlook, not to mention your schedule.

100 Ways to Simplify Your Life November 19, 2008 W. Barker (Seattle, WA) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I was impressed with Joyce Meyer's list, and as much as I'd love to do them all right away (or at least most of them), some of them require me to really think and re-program my thought process. Some of my more favored items from the list are: #1 Do One Thing at a Time, #6 Let Go of What Lies Behind You, #7 Learn How to Say No, #18 Establish Boundaries, #69 Be Realistic in Your Expectations, #87 Beware of Distractions, etc. I could go on and on. Many of the items on the list apply to me in one way or another. Each section is only a few pages long, and it contains an inspirational saying, and a passage from the Bible. Joyce also uses some examples from life to help the reader understand how to apply the item to their own life. This was a nice and helpful book that will need to remain on my nightstand for quite a while as I try to work through some of the items on the list that are more meaningful to me at this time. These are not outlandish ideas, but rather things that occur regularly in life that when added together or tackled separately (you really don't need to tackle all 100 items at once! I'm going to start with two or three and do them well prior to adding more.) will help to create a simpler life. I would encourage you to pick up this book and read through it yourself.
Old advice repackaged with Scripture by Christian leader November 19, 2008 Christina Lockstein (Oconto Falls, WI USA) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
100 Ways to Simplify Your Life by Joyce Meyer is Meyer's newest entry to help Christians find their way. Each of the 100 chapters are short, just a page or so, and easy reading. They are headed by a quote from a usually secular source followed by a verse from Scripture applying to the topic. From cutting down on clutter to throwing away junk mail to saying no to excessive responsibilities, the advice in this book has been given before. There's not a lot new in Meyer's advice, but by combining it with Scripture and personal anecdote, she gives even trifling things a Biblical basis.Meyer speaks with profound confidence on every matter. If you read a lot of self-help books, this won't be of much help, but if you've never picked up one before, this may just be the one to get you jumpstarted on simplifying your life. These short chapters do make for easy reading, and Meyer's solid tips are worthwhile.
I'd give it less if it was possible November 13, 2008 Cindy S (New Hampshire) 5 out of 15 found this review helpful
This book was written to be inspirational. This audio is read to NOT be inspirational. The reader has no emotion, tonal change or any spirit in the presentation. After the third track (not CD) I turned it off and have gotten rid of it. What a disappointment after the book. Do not waste your money in these times of economic uncertainty. Simplify your life with one less audio book.
Terrific advice November 19, 2008 Stacey (Las Vegas, NV USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
In "100 Ways to Simplify Your Life", Joyce Meyer presents 100 bits of terrific unsolicited advice that we all need to receive. Each of these 100 short chapters begins with an insightful quote and pertinent scripture verse (that I recommend the reader memorize) which reinforces the advice that Joyce Meyer gives. Her fine writing rounds out each topic to give the reader a completely though-provoking and Bible-based experience.
Simplify and learn December 1, 2008 Ms. Kitty (NY) Joyce Meyer uses her unique brand of common sense, and Biblical perspective, to help us find true simplicity in our lives, and freedom in God. Each chapter is short enough to be a great daily reading, making it easy to use this book as a devotional, or as an addition to one already in use. It is a tool for simplifying what we often make complicated-life. Joyce never misses the mark, and to me she has scored another great book.
