Features:
  • Multi-coated optical glass for enhanced optical resolution.
  • FILTER UV: Protects your camera's lens from scratches, dust, dirt, moisture, and fingerprints, while reducing unwanted ulra-violet light.
  • FILTER FD: The F-DL fluorescent light correction filter gives true-to-life color rendition by removing the harsh yellow-green cast ordinarily resulting from fluorescent bulbs. When shooting under natural light, a fluorescent filter dramatically increases color saturation of subjects.
  • FILTER PL: Polarizers let you achieve vibrant color saturation, reduce or eliminate glare and reflections from non-metallic objects and glass surfaces, and minimize haze. The filter can be rotated to determine the amount of reflection to be removed.
  • Includes protective carrying case. Backed by a 15 year USA warranty.

Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Lens filters are translucent pieces of glass placed in front of a camera lens to alter or adjust the light entering the camera and more importantly to protect the camera lens. Lens filters improve photographs by giving you control over light and allowing you to emphasize the features of a scene that you consider most important. This filter kit is a combination of the three essential filters no photographer should be without. PLEASE NOTE: Some cameras require an adapter tube to fit the filters. This filter set is compatible with the following camera models: Nikon D40 D60. FILTER FD: The F-DL fluorescent light correction filter gives true-to-life color rendition by removing the harsh yellow-green cast ordinarily resulting from fluorescent bulbs. 1 out of 5 stars Inexpensive generic lens set, save your money   December 27, 2008

This is a very generic lens set, with the quality you would expect at this price. The polarizer is particularly bad-if you want decent images with a polarizer, you need to spend the money for a good one. The pink lens is supposed to correct colors under fluorescent light, something any modern DSLR can do in software. I bought this kit just to have as spares, and ended up sending it back since it's just not useful.

5 out of 5 stars Great filters and nice case   May 23, 2008

The filters are great and the case is much smaller than I thought which makes it easy to fit into my camera bag.

Just FYI, if you've never put one on your camera (I hadn't), the filter is threaded. Just put the filter on your lens and rotate until it is snug.

It also allows for the Nikon lens cap to be applied.

I use the clear lens filter to protect the lens from dust, scratches, etc.

Great value and fairly heavy duty. It fits my 18-55mm lens just fin on my Nikon D60 camera.

5 out of 5 stars Great Filters, Cheap Price   October 7, 2008

I bought these for my D40X. The fit perfectly onto the 18-55, and 55-200 lens. So far, I have been happy with getting them. They are of semi-decent quality, and definitely get the job done. The set comes with UV, FL, and Polarized Filter. The polarized filter does have a movable ring that allows you to adjust the intensity.

My shooting environment varies. I do outdoor shooting, indoor low light (in-laws REALLY need to invest into some brighter lights), and occasional long exposure night photography. Even with the filters on, I have never experienced any artifacting or negative impact to the photos.

If your like me, and pretty much just do amateur photography, and need a cheap set of simple filters to protect your lens and improve your pictures, you can't go wrong with these.

Works just fine. Haven't compared to other polarizing filters, but the UV and FL provide beautiful results.

1 out of 5 stars Non-multi-coated = essentially useless   January 27, 2009

You get what you pay for - these filters are really only useful to protect your lenses from scratches, but need to be removed while shooting to get decent shots.

The fact that they aren't multi-coated means that you get gross lens flares and ghosting whenever there is a light source anywhere near your subject. I tried taking photos in Boston at night, but they were almost all wrecked by greenish ghosts of the headlights and street lamps. Since then I've learned better and remove the filters whenever I want to take usable photos.

Also, the polarizer lens is pretty weak and doesn't seem to have much effect on reflections.

Save your money and spend a little more on multi-coated filters - you WILL be disappointed with these. I will be buying multi-coated filters to replace these very soon.
