Visioneer 36Bit 6400 Scanner

The 6400 is twice as fast as comparable scanners. That's because of Visioneer's JPEG Enhancement Technology (JET). A built-in compression engine enables you to quickly scan large files, while a compression engine can be used to make files smaller or to enhance image quality.

The 6400 gives you 36-bit color depth, recognizing over 68 billion colors internally. Output bit depth is 24-bit color with an 8-bit gray scale. This unit scans documents up to 8.5 by 11.69 inches.

The 6400 comes with a software bundle that includes PaperPort Deluxe, TextBridge Pro OCR, MGI PhotoSuite II SE, WebPublisher Link, and PictureWorks Photo Enhancer.

This unit weighs 6.2 pounds and measures 16.7 by 11.7 by 3.7 inches. It has both USB and parallel connections. The 6400 is not compatible with Macintosh computers.
